“I’m my own worst enemy!” Too often I find myself recognizing that during my moments of self reflection. Our minds have been trained to think inside of a box to get from point A to B. It’s rare to see anyone retain maximum ambition and creativity after years of formal schooling that encourages us to fit the “norm.” Taking a leap of faith is not viewed as “making a smart decision” in society and so we settle. We doubt ourselves into mediocrity because society tells us that we’re only here to survive, not live. “Go to school and get a good education, so you can work for a good company. If you’re lucky, you’ll retire by 60.” This sad perspective has been drilled into many and somewhere along the line, many lost confidence and belief in self. I believe we all deal or have dealt with this to some extent. Great post! Keep inspiring us!!
